Stupefaction Through Division of Labor: By Sex.

By dividing tasks (and thus skills) into “manly” and “unmanly”... you achieve the following:
[Examples: cooking or knitting, hunting or weapons’ construction.]

1.) Out of those (in the general population) who have the ability and tendency to continue that task, you alienate about half (or at least a great part of the population “belonging” to the other sex). Therefore:

2.a) You secure that in every modern family there is –initially –only one person that is “able” for that task.

2.b) You secure that in the next stage –out of the descendants –only the girls or only the boys will have a tendency to learn and continue this task.

Given the fact that such an arrangement will increase the pressure on the group that now has the sole responsibility for that task (same needs but the production process in now divided amongst fewer individuals), you can eventually alienate that very same “working group” through “liberating” tendencies and technology, i.e. tools, goods, trends and services.

Annihilating the skills for that task can thus be achieved.

Note 1: you can do the same for traits, trades, habits, lifestyles, etc.

Note 2: You can install one characteristic of one group into the other
by following a reverse path of turning traits, trades, habits and lifestyles into “unisex items”.
