other countries / financial entities

that you want them

to become more competitive

 is a sick joke.

It’s as if one is taking part on a speed race in the deep blue sea.

Some have speed-boats, others have yachts, most have canoes.

The first 10 of each race decide upon the rules of the next race.
They can encourage the oarsmen to be competitive all day long.

But you need
(some of)
them alive. 

Without moochers and looters,
 your star won’t shine.
